Mr. Gregg Owens is a retiree of the City of Wilson. He brings over 30 years of financial experience to NEED, Inc.

Dr. Kristi Lee Snuggs serves as the Child Development Division Director/Head Start Director for Nash Edgecombe Economic Development, Inc. Head Start Program.​ Dr. Snuggs has been an advocate for preschool and higher education for over 25 years.​

Family Development

 

Ms. Wilson leads Family Development under the Community Service Block Grant. She has over 20 years of non-profit experience; serving low-income families through various grants, community initiatives, and donations.

Ms. Rogers joined NEED, Inc. in April 2017 after previously serving two years in the N.C. Department of Health and Human Service’s division of Economic Opportunity, where she managed $2 million in funding for community block grants for 19 agencies.

Mrs. Pittman has been with the agency a little over 29 years, progressively working her way up in the housing department.  Mrs. Pittman is passionate about the families served through the programs at NEED, Inc.

Nash-Edgecombe Economic Development, Inc.

NEED, Inc. is a non-profit private corporation and operates a variety of programs funded by federal, state and/or local governments.

​

The mission of Nash-Edgecombe Economic Development is to promote and work for those activities or programs that are necessary or desirable:

  • for advancing the general welfare of low-income people

  • to promote self-sufficiency

  • to increase self-worth of those served and those serving

  • to protect and enhance individual dignity by means of

  • providing training, resources, and opportunities through

  • services and non-service strategies in an effort to eliminate poverty.
